Dr. Dirk Vanderwall is a professor and interim dean for the College of Veterinary Medicine at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. He received his DVM degree from Cornell University, then worked in private practice as the resident veterinarian on a Standardbred horse breeding farm in New York for two years. He later attended the University of Idaho, where he received his PhD in animal physiology. A Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists, Dr. Vanderwall also completed a post-doctoral research appointment at the University of Kentucky and served on the faculties of Colorado State University and the University of Idaho. Later, after serving three years asAssociate Professor and Chief of the Section of Reproduction and Behavior in the Department of Clinical Studies at New Bolton Center in the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, he accepted his current position at Utah State University.
