Dr. Leonardo Brito is an Assistant Professor of Large Animal Reproduction at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He is also the Deputy Editor for the journal Theriogenology. Dr. Brito obtained his DVM from the Universidade Federal de Uberlandia in 1997 and an MSc from the Universidade do Estado de Sao Paulo - Botucatu in 2000, both in Brazil. He was awarded a MVetSc from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada in 2003, and PhD from the same university in 2006. He became a Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists in 2004 and spent 14 years in the cattle artificial insemination industry. His research and clinical interests include abnormal spermatogenesis, sperm morphology, semen analysis, and quality assurance in andrology laboratories.
