Denis graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Milan in 1996. After a period spent working in cattle reproduction Denis decided to work exclusively with equine Theriogenology and in 2006 qualified as a Diplomate at the European College of Animal Reproduction. His interests are mainly semen freezing, fertility of the stallion and mare, embryo transfer and ovum pick up. To follow this career path, Denis has worked in several specialist equine reproduction clinics including the Avantea reproduction technology lab,as a veterinarian on a large breeding farm in Sweden and as a partner of Select Breeders’ Services, Italy. More recently he was Assistant Professor in Equine Reproduction at Utrecht University in the Netherlands but has previously spent a brief period at Colorado State University in the USA. Currently, Denis works at the Keros Embryo Transfer Center in Belgium. Denis regularly attends and speaks at national and international conventions on equine reproduction and has authored and co-authored several publication in international journals and elsewhere.
